This street photography collection focuses on the everyday life of Budapest – on those small, often unnoticed moments that are at times absurd, humorous, or quietly revealing, and together create the rhythm of the city.

Across the images, human presence, street gestures, and the visual layers of the urban environment coexist, often in unexpected connections, ironic situations, or subtly grotesque scenes.

The selection presents street photographs made across Budapest’s different districts and situations. Alongside classic street scenes, it also includes moments captured at urban events – from the May Day fairground to the Kincsem Park derby and even images made during the flood. The atmosphere of the photographs is defined by the balance between spontaneity and conscious composition.

These images do not simply record moments; in many cases, they tell short stories – scenes from which the viewer can assemble their own meaning.
