Danube Arena
Duna Arena is one of Budapest’s most significant sports venues, located on the Danube embankment near Árpád Bridge. The building was created for the 2017 FINA World Championships, specifically designed to host international swimming and aquatic events.
The façade’s wave-like metal elements evoke the movement of water, serving as a direct visual reference both to the building’s function and to the nearby river.
Beyond competitions, the venue is also part of everyday sporting life, regularly used by athletes and public visitors alike. Its contemporary appearance has become a defining feature of the Danube-side urban environment, adding a new visual layer to the world of Pest’s embankments.
